Membership


Membership dues are only $125 for the entire year.  This includes dinner at every meeting and all continuing education.

Dr. Cargo
President: Jonathan Cargo, O.D.

Dr. Cargo is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. He practices full scope primary care optometry in his private practice located in Las Colinas. In 2007, Dr. Cargo completed the Northeastern State College of Optometry's LASER and minor surgery course that gave him advanced training in those respective fields.
Dr. Cargo is a member of the American Optometric Association, serves as the Third Party Center Committee Chairman of the Texas Optometric Association, and is a member of Irving - Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Cargo also serves on Rep. Angie Chen-Button's Health and Human Service Commission's roundtable advisory group and is a legislative key contact for Rep. Tan Parker. He has previously served as the DCOS vice-president and treasurer and as a TOA board member.  Dr. Cargo is happily married to a speech pathologist.  They have 4 children and reside in Flower Mound.

Dr. Gonzales completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with  a Minor in Chemistry at Baylor University in Waco, TX and then went on to earn his OD degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He currently teaches at the Bridge Builders Eye Clinic in Dallas, TX, which is a charity disease clinic caring for the indigent. He was named the 2009 Educator of the Year by the Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Gonzales' clinical Interests include retinal disease and glaucoma.

Dr. Peterson is a graduate of University of Houston College of Optometry. He joined 1st Eye Care of Carrollton after completing an externship at the Eye Foundation of Utah, which specializes in treatment and management of Glaucoma. He is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist. 
Dr. Peterson is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Dallas County Optometric Society.  Dr. Peterson has been married for more than 10 years and has three sons

Dr. Norton

Dr. Norton graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1996. She earned her B.A. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. She is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board as a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. Dr. Norton opened her private practice, Park Cities Eye Associates, in October 1996. The office is located in the University Park / Highland Park area of Dallas, and she practices full-time.  Dr. Norton is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometry Association, and the Dallas County Optometric Society.  Dr. Norton, her husband, and 6 year old son reside in Addison.
